“…[she] is not just learning to play an instrument, she is learning how to play music.”

“Our daughter is 8 years old and has been taking lessons from Rebecca for about three months. We have been very pleased with our experience with these lessons. Rebecca shapes each lesson for the student and their needs. She is encouraging and has great ideas for how to engage the younger students. It is quite obvious how skilled Rebecca is with the violin and with music in general. One of the things I love the most is that our daughter is not just learning to play an instrument, she is learning how to play music. She is learning how to read music and how to keep time. This skill can easily translate to another instrument or other areas of her life to come. Rebecca makes this process fun and engaging, which is so important for younger kids. There are several keys to our success with violin lessons. First, we talked a lot with our daughter about the need to keep trying and keep practicing. None of this happens overnight and sometimes it is not always fun. But it is so rewarding and worth it to work hard and see results. The second key to our success is Rebecca. She created a bond with our daughter and she is happy to listen and learn from Rebecca.”
